I have been working as a psychotherapist and counsellor since 2000. I grew up in S.E. London with my parents and two brothers. During and after my 'A' Levels, I worked in a number of different fields both in England and the USA. My experience of meeting people from a broad range of cultures led to my wanting to engage in a deeper understanding of human nature. This resulted in my pursuing training and qualifications in psychology, counselling and psychotherapy. I now work as an integrative UKCP accredited psychotherapist and counsellor with registered membership of the BACP. I am interested in people and in engaging with them in the process of our working together to better understand their problems.
In my therapeutic work in private practice, I have seen a broad range of people on both a short and long-term basis. Their problems have included: abuse, addiction, anger, anxiety, depression, bereavement, personality disorders, relationship issues, stress, trauma, as well as other life challenges.

Relevant Experience
Hostel for the Homeless I enjoyed working here and learned a great deal from relating to the residents, whose social backgrounds were very diverse.
Victim Support I provided support and counselling to people whose lives had been disrupted by unfortunate events in their lives.
NHS Drop-in-Centre I worked as a counsellor/psychotherapist with a broad range of people with mental health issues.
MIND I worked effectively on both a short and long-term basis with people with a wide variety of needs. I continued to see several of my clients in a private capacity after my time at MIND had ended.
